Frequently Asked Questions
When will your chicken be available for purchase?
We will start our first batch of chicken as soon as the winter frost has ended. From that point, it takes about two months for the chicken to be ready for purchase. Please make sure you are on our email list and following us on social media so you can ensure you are notified when our chicken pre-sale goes live.
What do you feed your chickens?
Our chickens are offered a high quality and locally sourced non-GMO chicken feed at all times. Their diet also consists of bugs, grass, seeds and anything else they can forage on pasture everyday. Please click here for more information.
Why are your chickens pasture raised?
Raising chicken on pasture is the most responsible way to take care of the chickens, the earth, and our bodies. To learn more about why please click here.
Are your chickens organic?
Our chickens are not technically certified organic due to the fact that their feed is not certified organic. However, they receive no antibiotics, are not fed anything GMO, and both them and the pastures they’re raised on are not sprayed with any pesticides or chemicals. If you’d like to learn more about why we are not certified organic please read our blog post here.
Can I visit your farm?
If you are interested in coming to see our chickens at the farm please contact us here.
Can I reserve your eggs online?
Unfortunately we have a very limited amount of eggs each week and cannot take reservations for them. Chicken eggs can be purchased on a first come, first serve basis either by sending us a message or visiting us at the farmers market.
Can I buy your chicken in Utah?
Current federal regulations prohibit us from selling our chicken across state lines and therefore we cannot physically sell our chicken in Utah. We can however meet you just across the state line in Idaho to sell you our chicken and you can take it back home to Utah.
Do you ship your chicken in the mail?
We do not currently ship our chicken in the mail.
Can you deliver your chicken to my house?
